Westmoreland Armed Forces Day Celebration
The Westmoreland Chapter will celebrate Armed Forces Day with a dinner at the Tamarack Casino on May 19th..  The speaker will be Brigadier General Ondra L. Berry, Assistant Adjutant General for the Nevada Air National Guard.  Click here for full details.
Save the Date--June 23rd--Picnic!
The Westmoreland Chapter joins up with the local chapters of the Military Officers Association of America, the Navy League, and the Vietnam Veterans of America for a joint military picnic at Bartley Ranch in Reno.  Here are the details.

AUSA Named Non-Profit Business of the Year
Overseas rotational deployments give Army National Guard troops a level of training it would be “difficult if not impossible” to get at home.  The exercises improve interoperability with allies and partners in unified land operations and peacekeeping operations, said Lt. Gen. Timothy J. Kadavy, director of the Army National Guard,at a recent breakfast hosted by AUSA’s Institute of Land Warfare, but for the ArmyNational Guard, it’s also about “sustaining readiness and developing the leadership within our formations.”  Read more on our Facebook page.

Enlisted National Guard Association Members Are Now Also AUSA Members
As part of the Association of the U. S. Army’s commitment to support the National Guard, AUSA has announced an expanded relationship with the Enlisted Association of the National Guard of the United States (EANGUS). To recognize this affiliation, enlisted guardsmen who are AUSA members will receive a one-year National Associate membership in EANGUS  unless they opt out. EANGUS has signed a corresponding agreement with AUSA that will provide a digital AUSA membership to its nearly 38,000 members.  Learn more.

Since 1950, the Association of the United States Army has worked to support all aspects of national security while advancing the interests of America's Army and the men and women who serve.

AUSA is a private, non-profit educational organization that supports America's Army--Active, National Guard, Reserve, Civilians, Retirees and family members. AUSA provides numerous professional development opportunities at a variety of events both local and national.

The General Westmoreland Chapter consists of Reno area AUSA members who  support our  brave soldiers and represent their interests here in Northern Nevada.
