Westmoreland Chapter
2020 Presidents' Day Dinner

Date: Monday, February 17, 2020
Tamarack Junction Casino

Guest Speaker:
Glenna Smith, Public Affairs Officer
Veterans Administration Sierra Nevada Healthcare System

Much of Glenna’s adult work-life has been devoted to serving Veterans. For more than a decade, Glenna has been instrumental in improving the lives of Nevada’s Veterans.  She first came to the attention of members of the Westmoreland Chapter as Senator Heller’s senior staff person in Reno and his Veteran Outreach Officer.
If you were a veteran and had a problem, you contacted Glenna. If she couldn’t solve it, she was not hesitant to contact Senator Heller’s DC office for advice and help.  Senator Heller, as a member of the Senate’s Veteran Affairs Committee, consistently supported Veteran concerns.
Once her days in the political arena were over, she was appointed as the Public Affairs Officer for the VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System, a position from which she continues to support Nevada’s Veterans.
We have asked Glenna to share some examples of her work with her favorite people...Nevada Veterans.
